See you at the park

She saw him while walking her dogs. He was sitting on a bench with a beer in his hand and kept calling the dogs, with kisses and whistles, but staring at her.

 She waited for him to leave and saw what he wrote on the bench, threw up and ran.

 “But, why the dogs?”

 When I asked her, she smiled.

Ask me about the weather. “It’s fine”, I’ll say. Perhaps I won’t tell you how the sun breaks through my window in a thin line between the curtains that I always forget to close properly. Yell Fire!

Yesterday I read a post called “10 things rapists look for” and something caught my eye: “If you’re being attacked, yell: fire!. It’s more likely to get a reaction from people around you if you say this than screaming for help”. Wait, are we…“there”? Is our society really that cold-hearted that when someone’s in danger, now they also have to think the best way to ask for help? Is that how we get people’s attention? yelling something others find really dangerous for themselves, like a fire? Because, otherwise, it’s way too risky to help? Is that selfish? or maybe it’s just how the human brain works and a common reaction? By this time I was too shocked to think clearly and could only imagine me flying up to the sky, to see the whole city from up above. Tiny houses, streets getting thinner as I kept rising. Loving Princess Leia

She was barely 2 months old when my boyfriend adopted her. We named her Leia, like the princess. She is a Red Nose Pitbull, white and caramel. I often say she looks like a Cinnamon Roll. When we are watching TV on the bed, she always jumps in between us and her white hair never leaves your black pants or jackets. She likes to lay next to me, bit with her butt on my face. When I tell her to switch sides, she ignores me, but when I say: DOWN! She immediately turns around and literally hugs me. Every time we leave the house, she howls and the whole building hears her. “Your dog cried all day,” said a note we found under the door one time we left her for 2 hours. She is way too needy, she doesn’t know how to be alone, but she is the reason my boyfriend’s happier than ever.
